South End Mile Posts 4 to 5
On January 15, 2012, we were traveling southbound just north of Mile Post 5. After finishing clearing the track to Bridge M-18-7, we are now making our way back to WI Hwy 35. It is worth noting that we are the first ones to ride the South End of the line since its closure in 1977 following a derailment.
South End Mile Posts 4 to 6
On February 18, 2012, the track to Bridge M-20-8 Mile Post 6 was successfully cleared. Our journey is directed Northbound from Mile Post 4.24 at WI Hwy 35 to Bridge M-20-8, located just north of Mile Post 6 Plumers Mill. We are the inaugural travelers on the South End of the line following its closure in 1977 as a result of a derailment.
South End Mile Posts 6 to 6.50
On March 10, 2012, our team successfully cleared the track up to Mile Post 6.50. However, we encountered a significant washout along the way. Our journey began from just south of Mile Post 6 at Plumers Mill, heading Northbound. It is worth mentioning that we are the first group to travel the South End of the line since its closure in 1977 following a derailment.

On March 10, 2012, a work train heading southbound at Bridge M-20-8, Plumers Mill, Mile Post 6. This marked the first journey on the southern end of the track since its closure in 1977 following a derailment.
South End North of Mile Post 4
On November 11, 2012, a southbound work train completed its tasks for the day by installing Cross Bucks at the DNR Trail Crossing just south of Mile Post 5. The tool car was then left at Bridge M-16-9, and the train proceeded towards WI Hwy-35 to have it loaded onto a trailer.

Derailment Site
Traveling south on May 6, 2022, passing through Little Beef Slough. On January 18th, 1977, the Line was shut down permanently following a derailment at Bridge M-66 Little Beef Slough. The scene of the incident still contains traces of the wreckage, such as a Box Car and various artifacts.

The Spring journey through the Tiffany Wildlife Area commenced on May 11, 2024, as we headed south at Bridge M-60-13, located just north of mile post 11.
